TREVENZUOLO (VR) – Tragedy struck in Trevenzuolo today, April 2nd, as a worker lost his life in a workplace accident at a company located in via del Lavoro. The alarm was raised around 8:00 am when the worker became trapped under a machine that caught fire. Despite the immediate intervention of law enforcement and emergency services, there was nothing that could be done to save the man.
Firefighters and 118 emergency services intervention
The Verona Firefighters, who arrived with three vehicles, and the 118 emergency personnel, including a helicopter, tried to free the worker and extinguish the fire on the machine. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the man passed away on the spot. The causes of the accident are still under investigation.
Investigations by the Carabinieri and Spisal
The Carabinieri and Spisal (Service for the Prevention and Safety in the Workplace) also arrived at the scene of the accident to initiate investigations and gather the necessary information to reconstruct what happened. The incident has shaken the entire local community and raised new questions about workplace safety in the company.
