MONSELICE (PD) – Un caso di violence among teenagers shook the morning of February 13th at the Kennedy High School in Monselice, where two fourteen-year-olds confronted each other just before the start of classes. The dispute between the two boys, of North African origin, quickly escalated when one of them pulled out a knife. Fortunately, the timely intervention of the vice principal prevented the worst.

At 7:30 yesterday morning, the two students, who had previously had disagreements, came to blows outside the school. The scene was noticed by vice principal Vincenzo Ficco, who, realizing the group of agitated students, intervened promptly. Seeing the knife, Ficco calmly stopped the fight, preventing the situation from taking a more serious turn.
Complaint and follow-up of the incident
The Carabinieri of Monselice and the parents of the involved students were promptly informed of the incident. The youngster who pulled out the knife was reported to the Venice Minor Prosecutor’s Office on charges of illegal possession of weapons and aggravated threats. The episode has raised concern, and the municipal administration, together with the school and law enforcement, will monitor the situation to prevent future acts of violence.
