Moments of Fear on the A57: Violent Accident near Mira-Oriago
MIRA (VENICE) – Moments of fear on the A57, where a violent road accident occurred in the late morning of today, July 24, near the Mira-Oriago toll booth, heading towards Venice.
Involved in the impact were two cars, one of which flipped onto its side.
The alarm went off around 12 o’clock, when the emergency call came in. Two teams of firefighters intervened on the scene, with two fire engines, working to secure the area and the vehicles involved, avoiding further risks to traffic.
The Suem 118 operators provided initial care on the spot to a woman and her daughter, who were trapped in the overturned vehicle.
The driver of the other car involved remained unharmed.
Partially Closed Highway
To allow rescue operations and the securing of the roadway, the highway was partially closed, causing queues and slowdowns along the lane towards Venice. Traffic gradually resumed immediately after the removal of the vehicles involved in the accident.
The causes of the accident are still under investigation by the Highway Police, who conducted surveys to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the impact.
