Tragedy in Mira: Body painting artist Jenny Corrò dies at 41
MIRA (VE) – Jenny Corrò, a renowned artist in the world of body painting and a beloved mother, has passed away at the young age of 41 after being diagnosed with cancer just three months ago. The same disease had also affected her father, who passed away last December, only a few weeks apart from her paternal grandfather. The Corrò family was a true institution between Mira and Calcroci, thanks in part to her father Claudio, a historic butcher in the area.
A career filled with creativity and passion
After graduating in advertising graphics in Mestre, Jenny chose to follow her talent in painting, specializing first in body painting and then in belly painting, the art of painting auspicious images and personalized figures on the bellies of expectant mothers. In 2023, she earned the title of vice-world champion in Make up sfx and vice-Italian champion in the Open team category, solidifying her reputation as one of the most appreciated artists in the sector.
Remembered by friends and community, fundraising for her daughter
Despite her illness, Jenny never stopped planning new projects, involving those close to her with enthusiasm and vitality. She leaves behind her grieving mother Oriana and her 15-year-old daughter Maria. To support Maria’s educational journey, Jenny’s longtime friends have started a fundraising campaign on the GoFundMe platform, inviting the community to participate. The funeral will be scheduled in the coming days.
